Ryan Murphy wants Michelle Pfeiffer in American Horror Story Season 4!
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed his dream cast for season 4 of the horror series. And our beloved Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the actors on his dream list!
According to Nov 29 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Murphy named Reese Witherspoon, Michael Chiklis and Michelle Pfeiffer as his dream cast for the next season of his award winning show:
“With this season’s additions of acclaimed actresses like Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Gabourey Sldibe, it’s clear that Ryan Murphy can draw great talent to American Horror Story. So who is on his wish list for future seasons?
“Well, every year I go to Reese Witherspoon,” says Murphy. “I want her to play something really twisted and f—ed up. But she’s always booked.”
Also on his dream roster are Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Chiklis.”
In fact, back to an old interview of Murphy with EW in 2011, the creator of AHS already mentioned Michelle’s name after the premiere of first season, where they talked about the fourth child of Constance, a character played by Jessica Lange in Season 1:
So are we gonna see Constance’s fourth child?
Maaaaaaaybe.
Is the fourth one like a spider-monkey or something?
I think Constance’s fourth child is Michelle Pfeiffer [laughs]. That’s all I’m gonna say.
Of course, that could be just a joke for Jessica to play Michelle’s mother with the only 9 years age difference, and, in fact, every Season of AHS also comes with a total new setting and new story with no relation to any of the previous seasons.
There’s no official information about Michelle interests in doing AHS yet, but if it really happens that will be a reunite of Michelle and Jessica Lange, after playing sisterhood in the family drama “A Thousand Acres” in 1997.
AHS earned Jessica Lange an Emmy Award of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie in 2012, also a nomination of Outstanding Lead Actress this year, but Jessica confirmed that she will leave after season 4, “Once it’s over and I have a full year ahead of me with nothing to do, who knows? It might not have been the best decision. But I think four years doing something is a sufficient amount of time.” Lange noted. At the same time, Murphy also said that AHS Season 4 will not feature Lange as the lead, so here our question is, will that be Kathy Bates, Reese Witherspoon, or, our Michelle Pfeiffer?

Hey Paul & Alan,
Thank you guys for the greeting and “worries”, I’m doing good, just being busy for lot of stuffs lately, and hardly to have time to sit down and do update for the site, I’m having some fun with the iphone apps and instagram of my Michelle account though…for our lady, I suppose she’s preparing to film “whatever makes you happy” which she mentioned the filming will be start at feb/march? It has been quiet, let see…hopefully there will be some news soon.

There has been nothing on the internet anout her next projects. Best case re: Michelle. She has options and is carefully screening through them using new criteria since her recent projects haven’t seemed to have added to her cachet.

It has gone very quiet with Michelle. Been far too long since she wrapped on The Family. Hope we hear about something soon. Don’t know what has happened to Whatever Makes You Happy. I really hope Man Under gets made at some point as it sounded an interesting project.
I imagine she would want to work quite a bit this year seeing as she is now an empty nester.
