Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson Joining Jennifer Lawrence in Darren Aronofsky Drama
We’re not dreaming, we’re now sure have something to look forward in 2017 and it gonna be a great one! Michelle will be teamed up with Domhnall Gleeson, Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Brian Gleeson in Darren Aronofsky’s new drama, the man who directed Black Swan, according to The Hollywood Reporter:
Michelle Pfeiffer and Domhnall Gleeson are in negotiations to join Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem in Darren Aronofsky’s untitled Paramount Pictures drama.
Also in discussions to join the roll call are veteran actor Ed Harris and Gleeson’s brother, Brian Gleeson.
Aronofsky wrote the script, which focuses on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests come to their home, disrupting their lives.
Character details were not revealed.
A June production start is being penciled for a release in 2017.
Aronofsky and his partners at Protozoa Pictures, Scott Franklin and Ari Handel are producing.
Pfeiffer’s last screen appearance was with Robert De Niro in Luc Besson’s crime thriller The Family. She has two projects in the cast, the HBO Bernie Madoff movie The Wizard of Lies and the indie drama Beat-Up Little Seagull. She is repped by CAA, Management 360 and Hirsch Wallerstein.
Paradigm-repped Gleeson, who last year starred in Ex Machina and played a villain in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is joining Will Forte in A Futile and Stupid Gesture, Netflix’s movie about the founding of National Lampoon.
There’s no details about the pairing now, we can believe that Jennifer could be the lead and Michelle probably plays her mother or one of the uninvited guests, Darren always gives meaty role for actresses in his movie, let’s hope it will be a real solid role for Michelle which is worth waiting:)
An additional information from Fotogramas (the main magazine dedicated to movies in Spain), the “Untitled Darren Aronovsky movie” will be titled “MOTHER”, and is scheduled to be launched on 29 December 2017 (??). According the magazine, this info comes from the presentation of the new season of Paramount at the Cineurope, the expo of movies celebrated yesterday in Barcelona (Spain).
The magazine reported filming is scheduled to begin next spring, a few months before its US release date: December 29, 2017. But according to IMDB, the filming already started in early June, so it’s clear that the magazine may made a tiny mistake on the dates and the movie should be released in December 2016 instead?! Keep fingers crossed! (updated June 24, 2016)
